A water based rust inhibitive primer for metal. The material is fast drying and specially designed to prime the surface for AC5900 and other Tough Stuff products. The tough, flexible film adheres tenaciously and is resilient enough to absorb the expansion and contraction most substrates undergo.

Drying time is temperature, humidity, and film thickness dependent.

Temperature:

Note: Do not apply when the dew point is less than 5ºF above ambient temperature.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
- This product can be sprayed, brushed, or rolled on.
- When using airless spray equipment, it is recommended that a reversible spray tip be used with an orifice of .017 to 0.24 and minimum 40 degree fan angle.
- Material should be applied to a 4 - 12 mil thickness depending upon porosity of substrate.
- Mix material if separated.

PERFORMANCE TIPS
- DO NOT THIN.
- POWER MIX BEFORE USING.
- On porous surfaces allow to cure four hours.
- All loose rust and scale should be removed.
- Rusty areas should be saturated without leaving any excess material.
- Puddles may blister the finish coat if not cured before coating.
- Can also be applied with a pump sprayer.
- Non-rusty metals require just a thin coating.
- Recoat within one hour in good weather. Recoating can proceed with urethanes while surface is still somewhat tacky.
- PR3800 has no recoat window but dirt that accumulates on the material will have to be removed.
- Do not allow containers to freeze.
CLEANUP INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean spills, spatters, and tools immediately with water.
- Clean hands immediately after use with soap and water.
- After cleaning, flush spray equipment with water followed by mineral spirits. Leave mineral spirits in the line to prevent rusting.

- This product is designed for professional use. Caution must be exercised to prevent mishaps due to improper handling.
- Any installation equipment employed for application should be designed for high pressure use.
- The use of appropriate MESA/NIOSH approved respirator during application is important. We also recommend the use of fabric coveralls and gloves.
- INSTALLERS must read and understand all technical and informational literature for Tough Stuff PR3800, including the Material Safety Data Sheets, prior to using this product.
