APPLICATION PROCEDURESup.gif

Tough stuff AC5500 Mastic may be applied by brushing, spray or troweling. FA200 stitchbonded polyester fabric should be used over the first coat of Mastic on large cracks and seams. Apply one more coat of AC5500 Mastic over the polyester fabric after the base coat has set for at least one hour. The roof coating may be applied within one hour of application.

Apply AC5500 Mastic only to clean, dry, sound surfaces free of loose particles or other foreign matter. Over metal roof surfaces that show signs of oxidation, rust, should be removed by power washing, and wire brushing. A primer may be recommended over these areas with chalking and rusting. CL404 cleaner may be used in many areas.

Do not apply if coating will be subjected to rain or heavy dew before drying.

Contact Coatings International with any application questions.
