AC5300 TEXTURED PRODUCT DATA


Tough Stuff AC5300 textured acrylic coating is designed to provide long lasting, trouble free systems for the renewal and maintenance for all types of surfaces. The tough, flexible film adheres tenaciously and is resilient enough to absorb expansion and contraction. This coating will work well on metal, wood and stucco.

Drying time is temperature, humidity, and film thickness dependent. DO NOT apply when the dew point is less than 5° F above ambient temperature.

APPLICATION PROCEDURESup.gif

  • This product can be sprayed, brushed, or rolled on.
  • Heavy duty spray equipment should be used to apply Tough Stuff AC5300 textured coating. This product should be sprayed witha hopper gun or texturing gun. Tyical tip sizes are 3/8 to 1/2 inch (8 - 12 mm).
  • When using a roller to apply the AC5300 textured coating, it is recommended for best results that a deeply patterned roller be used.
  • Mix material is separated.
  • Please consult the Coatings International Technical Department with specific application questions.

  • DO NOT THIN
  • Power mix material before using with a mixer at slow speed with broad paddles of 100 - 200 r.p.m. is recommended.
  • All loose rust and scale should be removed.
  • Rusty areas should be primted with PR3800 primer. Consult Tough Stuff AC5300 textured product specifications.
  • Puddles may blister the finish coat if not cured before coating.
  • Recoat within one hour in good weather.
  • AC5300 texture has no recoat window but dirt that accumulates on the material will have to be removed.
  • Do not allow containers to freeze.

Clean spills and spatters immediately with water

Clean hands and tools immediately after use with soapy water.

After cleaning, flush spray equipment with water followed by mineral spirits. Leave mineral spirits in the line to prevent rusting.
