AC505 PRODUCT DATA

Tough Stuff AC505 spray surfacer and filler is a pure acrylic, high build coating especially designed to fill and seal a variety of substrates including wood, masonry, brick, stucco and expanded polystyrene (EPS) board substrates.

An unlimited number of either water based or 100% solids top coats can be used over Tough Stuff AC505. Tough Stuff AC505 contains unique silica spheres which allow the coating to uniformly seal voids prior to top coat applications with a variety of non-solvent top coats.

One of the most beneficial properties of Tough Stuff AC505 is the flexible nature of the material. A high-build finish can be achieved over expanded polystyrene that will maintain its flexibility and resist cracking and damage.

PRODUCT ADVANTAGESup.gif

  • Single package – Tough Stuff AC505 is a one component, ready to use material.

  • Water based – no solvents or solvent odors, easy clean up with soap and water.

  • Stays permanently flexible – does not harden upon curing or aging, resists cracking.

  • Covers voids and hairline cracks – fills and bridges rough surfaces to a smooth finish.

  • Film breathability – allows moisture vapor to breath from building interior to exterior through the coated surface.

  • Adhesive strength - bonds tenaciously directly to properly prepared surfaces of EPS, wood, masonry, and concrete.
